Hoping someone knows this..

What is Momo Horn Pad / Airbag Cross Platform Compatibility?

aka.. will a BE/BH Momo Horn pad fit a BD/BG Momo Wheel?

will a BD/BG Horn pad fit a GC8 Momo wheel?

im looking at getting a new wheel and obviously a wheel without air bag is allot cheaper.. but will my BD one fit a GC8 Wheel..

any help muchly appreciated Guys..

Cheers,

Ty

According to SLi a 02 WRX momo wheel swaps over. That could be USDM only though

This is not particularly helpful, but may be of some use ...

The GC8 Momo Steering wheel airbag module uses a different connector to the BE/BH, not sure about the horn bad size in relation to BE9 wheel, nor the BD/BG... I'd be interested to know if I could swap the guts of my stock wheel into the GC8 one... I shall have a look and see.

I also have a B4 wheel with intact airbag, but the blue leather is nearly black from some cleaning the previous owner performed.

I can take some pics of my B4 and GC8 wheels side by side if that helps?

well if you can swap the 2 pads on the wheels themselves it would pretty much answer my question :D

im 90% sure the GC8 will be the same as my 98BD  Momo..

also.. heres a odd fact... Momo is actually "Peach" in Japanese.. well actually Momotarō is Peach Boy or Peach Taro.. a Japanese Folklore hero..

so when your looking for Momo in Japan.. you actually have to search Peach.... haha

The one thing I don't know though, is how similar a BD/BG wheel is to a BE/BH ...

I'll pull the wheels out tonight / tomorrow and take some pics!

yeah if you can check the BE BH works in a GC wheel then im confident the BD BG will fit the BE BH Wheel as like it said, the BD BG is same as GC GD ;)

Verdict is ... The centre pad is not interchangeable between a B4 BE5 and WRX GC8 wheels.

After swap ... No good:

There was an s401 one on eBay a little while ago, not sure if it's still there but they don't have the chrome ring.
