White is good IMO, possibly not the best, but very good nonetheless. Good snap chats bro

Don't think I wanna do red on this car. Everyone does red or black.

Maybe gold brakes?

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

What about teal brakes? Looks the goods behind white wheels.

As for the headlights, you can use a heat gun to heat the glue if you don't want to use the oven.

Nothing special. Just standard black on white replacements. Or maybe silver on black if I feel like spending that money.

got some standard plates (black on white slimline) today myself just drove into town 4 10mm bolts take plates in fill out name address and a few boxes (assuming its registered in your name) and pay $99

hey presto no yellow plates

note (random content not what you want, all i wanted was no yellow plates and no annual fee  :yahoo: )

So it's just a random set of plates? Not a restyle of your current plates?

You could've just restyled your old plates by paying $99 as well you know LPM_B4? The only catch is that you wouldn't get it on the spot and would have to wait until they are delivered to the RMS of your choice (I'm pretty sure).

No, the cheapest restyle is $160..

Thanks Lachy, I may look in to that! They're not personal plates, so I couldn't give two shits about it haha. Just wanna get rid of the yellow.

Oh crap, my bad. I never clicked the link and assumed it'd be the same $99 you pay every year for the personalised ones.

For $99 you can get your current rego numbers on slimline black on white plates too.  You just have to wait for them to get made up though & I can't see that process taking any less than 2 weeks.

Edit... in NSW

Do you have to pay a fee every year if you want your current number plate on say a stardard white and black plate?

The Myplates site says it's a $160 order fee?

There you go.

lAnyway, may as well just grab a new plate. What's so special about the one you have Sam?

What else will you be doing to the car before HVC?

Nothing. Just working out the cheapest option to fork off the yellow.

I have a list, but as to what gets done.. I don't even know.

I need to sort out a couple of noises and stuff first, but otherwise:

  • Front swaybar
  • Kartboy shifter bushings
  • Paint brakes
  • Get new pads that don't squeal
  • Oval muffler, as I'm sick of the cannon
