hey guys i just got the front seats out of a gc8 wrx 98 model to go into my outback


but the drivers bolster is torn a little is it possable to swap the passenger backrest with the drivers backrest but not swapping the seat bases ??

You should be able to swap the covers over if they have a zip in the hole bit.. You wont be able to swap the whole backrest. Just take a good look at it and report back  ;)

hey boss installed them today holy shit the car feels totally different in corners now


and i had a look the backrests are only help on by a bracket on either side with a screw for the trim cover and a bolt ill try and swap them tonight . and put it up on here with photos :)

I don't mean to sound negative but I really don't think you'll be able to swap the entire back sections on to opposite bases due to reclining ratchets being on opposite sides.
I think they are attached to the backrest frame.
I may be wrong???

See how you go.
