Without a doubt, it's horrible, but I think all these conspiracies are just making it worse for the people waiting for answers.

Yeah true on that front Nikko, fingers crossed for him that they will overturn their decision .
Man that plane thing is nuts.... It actually has me intrigued because it is so weird. I don't reckon it went down off the coast of WA though... with all the Iron ore ships in Northern WA and container ships that head to freo, surely someone would have noticed something floating about from the wreckage by now if it was indeed out there. I wont pretend to know what the fark is going on but I don't think it is impossible that it was landed in some fuckwit poor arse country...

the plane had 5hrs of fuel on board, planes travel at about 700km/hm, thats a radius of 3500km to search..........thats alot of area!

They did say 1000+ km off the coast of Perth though. Which I'm not sure would be a shipping lane, unless to Suid Afrikka?

Yeah same, the fact that a plane can go missing in these modern times is quite astonishing. I just hope we can actually get some answers soon because its been over a 7 so far.

You're still like 700,000 times more likely to die in an accident on the way to the airport than you are in a plane.
Maybe we should do a plane cull?

I'm genuinely surprised that the plane tracking thing can actually be turned off!!!!

I can't believe they can just turn the Aircraft and Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) off by the flick of a button, that should NOT be able to happen, it should be permanently on.
Obviously I copied and pasted that. I wanted the correct terminology.

Yeah pretty much, I guess it is a fair way out... but fark there are a lot of different shipping routes out there... like have a look at this.

100% agree. Maybe this incident will make it mandatory that the tracking system can't be turned off at all.

It would be nuts if it didn't really! Same conversation was had this morning here at work... surprised that it could be turned off and we reckon it would be very surprising if it didn't cause a shake up where as the ACARS couldn't be turned off any more.

News.com.au is just cheesy, having a ticker for "how long has it been missing", that is just stupid, fork I hate the media!

Did you also know that they can depressurise the cabin?

Also, Joshie, you'll notice the shipping lanes to Suid Afrikka are in the darkest colours, meaning they are vary rarely used.
