Grab an undertray from the wreckers and use as a template.
thinking of doing the same for my Gen4

i have the stock plastic plate atm the gen 2 outback . if i sit that on some metal will it be accurate tho . id rather be able to measure it out

hey mate this is the cuts u would need to make to fit ur car
Im after one of these. Will it fit a gen 2 legacy gt? Mine was missing when i bought it. Will it make any difference to the fitting that i have an ej257?

ya thats an e81 skid plate . ull need to make 2 cuts to fit the trans crossmember and two thin cuts on the rear side to clear the crossmember and sit flush
It bolted directly to my Gen2 withought mods.

Cant say. I ripped the plastic one off straight away.
My car is on coilovers and nearly tucks front tyre..... no issues.

Also check places like eBay/Gumtree etc. Secondhand "SubaXtreme" sump guards come up from time to time and they're airbag compliant.
