A few pics from this weekends Top Gear Festival at Sydney Motorsports Park Eastern Creek

 

Daniel Ricciardo smashed the Eastern Creek lap record while driving Mark Webbers old RB7. He clocked a 1:11.233s beating the previous record held by Webbo (1:13.606s).

I think subaru are onto something with the MY15 WRX. That look is growing on me fast. I might need to let go of the B4 in 2 years!

Was an awesome day. The car of the day would had to have been the time attack evo. That thing was a beast. Wasn't that fast while it raced the sls gt3 but once the air cooled down for the last race it was just about as fast as the F1 car

That race with all 6 types of vehicles was my fav moment of the day.

Hard to go past Nemo as the best time attack evo out there but Tilton isn't far behind

that was Piazza D’Oro. He was getting all kindas of messy during his last session!

Was still good to see them all on the track at once though!

Yeah the Piazza D'oro Evo got pretty munted, hit the wall hard and destroyed the front bar with all of that aero on it

The time attack evo ran a 1.14.xx at one stage so not that much slower Not sure which day/race/lap he did it on though.


But anyway how good was the little rally corolla undertaking the v8 on the big horseshoe.

There's no way a time attack set up is that close to an F1 car. The current time attack track record for Eastern Creek is 1:24:8550 so it must have been on a reduced distance configuration 

 

Time Attack cars are still the fastest to lap the creek outside everything else bar a couple of open wheels though so yeah, still bloody quick

The new WRX felt pretty sloppy. Nice interior though!

got conned into signing up for a test drive of the 2015 WRX, will take it for a drive when im given the chance, but honestly cant see me getting into one, interior is good but i dont think ill be able to live with the exterior.

Sweet pics man it was a great day and like the rest I was also severely sunburnt from it. Worth it though to see those drift cars they were epic.
