Hi Guys,

I need some help. I need a new BOV as the one I currently have isn't working right.

I am looking for a good BOV that will hold pressure up to 22psi and be able to relsease pressure at low boost without fluttering the turbo's ass off. It also needs to have a recirc flange not a atmo.

Does anyone have any suggestions on models and brands that will meet my requirement? Currently I belive the one on is a GFB but I don't know the model number that flutters like stupid and leaks boost on high boost when I loosen the vac valve to try stop the flutter.

Cheers,

Will

My GFB is the same but I don't mind the flutter. Are you still using the TT intercooler?

Hi BOSS,

Nah I switched over to a  much larger aftermarket WRX intercooler. The flutter is too loud and I want more recirc, I'm worried about  the turbo too.

Cheers,

Will

Cheers BOSS PELICAN!

Now I just need to find a dealer on the weekend, since my parts aren't standard. My flange for the original aren't the same sizes. The recirc flange is bigger than the flange coming from the WRX intercooler.

I had both GFB and turbosmart kompact on my RS, I liked the little bit of flutter with my GFB and had it on the most...but the kompact was good and on the softest setting didn't flutter at all and had no signs of boost leak at 15-16psi with either the fmic or waic :)

T9001 is up to '05 I think

It's a 50/50, but you can choose 100% plumb back

+1 for the turbosmart kompact.. Good Lil unit and mine holds fine at 22psi

I do find Below 5psi it holds but that is nothing and helps shifting if anything

Another happy turbosmart kompact customer. Releases at low boost and doesn't leak above 20psi. I have the dual port unit on the TT which came with a blanking plug to make it a full plumback.
I much prefer it over the HKS unit I have on the RS.
