I dont think anyone here is running the delta dash and I dont think it is a simple process of wiring for relay/power/obd..

Have you tried the ecutek website for a manual?

That MRT link shows it being installed in a B4. Hmm, I might have to look into one of these units.

Depending on exactly how much data you want/need, for the money there are better display/monitoring units available now imo. Those Ecutek units are getting pretty old now (I don’t think Ecutek even make them any more do they?).

Aek, do you have a contact for that ECUDataScan bloke? Has he stopped producing them?

I need a new cable.

I just want to be able to look at thing like timing, AFR, manifold pressure, knock correction. Just the usual things to keep a tab on. But being a 99 Legacy ECU, that doesn't leave too many options

What has been cut? Was it the OBD cable that plugs into the OBD port on the car?

From the manual:
"Route the cable behind the dash to the OBDII
connector and plug it in. No further wiring is
required."

Yeah, the obd had been cut.

Normally I would just match colour to colour but wanted to double check first as it splits to different modules and boards inside the unit. (Power, relay and 2 boards)

Guess I'll just have to give it a crack

...Fingers crossed...

Tricky bit is only 3 of the obd wires terminate to the board where you see the black cable...

If you have both ends of the cut cable I see no issues with splicing like for like. Companies dont change wire colours halfway down a cable. Splice all of them though, not just the ones you can see being used.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

thats the bit I'm unsure about...

...as you see only 3 of 6 obd wires actually come out of the cable (where are the other 3 I can see in the cut ?

... And what's with the black box with the white cable coming out of it.????

Hmmm... MRT time I think. Just dont let them convince you that you need a whole new setup.
