hey peeps

where might i find the steel oil separator plate to replace the plastic one, and where might i find a rear main seal for my 02 rx lib ??

does anyone know what the part numbers are on these ??

also i heard that from 01 subaru went to an aluminium plate? is this true and is it worth replacing that for the steel one?

cheers

Go to subaru and give them your vin.

If your not going to pay the 40 bucks for a genuine rear main, don't bother at all.

They will give you the latest revision plate, about 50 bucks all up with the bolts

hmmm that's difficult for me cause nearest Subaru dealer is 60ish K's away, and according to the dealer locator on the Subaru website, they don't do spare parts. and to make it harder, serving a 3 month license suspension till June : /

don't know any dealers that sell online do you? lol cause that seems to be my best bet at the moment lol

I only gave one of the steel plates away the other day. The block I'm about to pull out should have a steel one. But first I'll have to check but if it is a steel one you can have it.

Oil separator is $40 + postage from MRT. They could probably supply the rear main seal as well. Kris at Rising Sun Subaru could probably supply both as well so might be worth a call.

I've got a brand new genuine Subaru rear main seal you can for $15 posted if you want
