since my post in the ichiban thread regarding that clutch kit and the responses to it, iv been kind of freaking out over whether these are genuine or not. the model numbers are correct for my lib but i still cant shake the thought that these may be fakes. any thoughts to them? im trying to save as much money as possible but at the same time i dont wont to be buying fakes.

Looked genuine enough for me, seems to work fine and fast postage as well. I recommend that seller.

Be mindful that if you are DIY'ing, Removing the original dual mass flywheel bolts involves getting your hands on a T50+ Torx socket and a flywheel locking tool. Or it won't happen, A regular T50 will round out the torx bolts.

Happy clutching!

Ryobi better than Makita, Bosch or Milwaukee?

I'll reply and stop this from turning into a discussion.

Ryobi's 18v One+ range is the tits. With the 4.0Ah battery, We parted out an entire car and that battery went on to do some other odd jobs. Still haven't charged it yet.

I wish I didn't buy another 4.0Ah as a spare. So awesome.

Extreme clutches are supposed to be Exedy clutches under a 'cheaper' name.
I've just put in an Extreme clutch and flywheel. That's an option.

FYI,
They are Genuine EXedy clutches, but made to cheapo aftermarket specs
there was a huge rexnet dicusion about rattling Exedy clutches.

The difference is these have big single springs in the friction plate,
but the EXedy OEM Spec ones have dual springs and don't rattle

Ryobi better than Makita, Bosch or Milwaukee?

if you are using it as a general home DIY, Ryobi shits over all the competition. i used to sell power tools back in my bunnings days so had all the training.

Ryobi are very well priced, making them a cheaper option versus your higher end brands. plus a 2 year replacement warranty you cant go wrong. rarely had any of their one+ gear come back.

Milwaukee, De Walt, Makita are all great tools also, but at the prices for them are more suited to your tradies

Good review is good.

Thanks for that Mark. I'll be looking into the Ryobi ONE+ gear then. Cheers mate.

Just btw, that ryobi may or may not have enough power to crack the flywheels bolts. We used the correct torx+50 socket and a air powered half inch rattle gun with no success. Had to use an electric 3/4 rattle gun (could have used air but wasn't available at the time). Do not strip these bolts as it turns into a nightmare as cam said (tried with the incorrect tool unknowingly).

Clutches don't wear that fast unless you have heeps of power or a shit driver.

I've had all configurations of SUbies auto/ manual,  turbo and NA, 4cyl and 6.

a good auto box behind a good turbo motor is a very quick car to drive
no loss of boost/ drive on gear changes, and if tuned/ setup well will launch hard if you stall them up on the brake.
Learning to use the torque converter operation properly can effectively give you twice the number of gear ratio's.
