gen 2 outback gauges !! help ??

hey everyone 

 

 

just wondering if anyone has installed gauges in there dash or head unit. and how you did it 

 

im installing 

trans temp

volt 

vacuum 

 

this is my dash ive taken out the spare din pocket but they didnt fit :(

 
 
this is the kinda idea i want to do

You can buy din sized gauge mounts, like it's just a solid panel with 2 or 3 holes cut out.

I think they fit the very smallest gauges, can't remember what size.

52mm is the smallest.

 

So I'm guessing you bought 60mm ones?


I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

hey ya i got 3 of the 52mm ones , was just going to cut a face plate out of plastic so i can wrap it later or spray it the slot thats there now that u can see the head unit frame they are a super tight fit just to slide in there atm

yep if you want to mount 52mm gauges you can get a din insert that'll fit them in the spare pocket. i'm going to be selling a custom gen 2 gauge pod for 3 x 52mm gauges in the next few weeks to if your interested. it's moulded to the dash on the left side of the main cluster. i've also got a single 52mm gauge pod for gen 2 that goes on the right side of the cluster if you're looking for a single gauge option
