By no means am I dissing the game, it just doesn't tickle my fancy. Not on TV anyway. May be if I attended a game in person I'd enjoy it more.

You know I've never watched a full half of AFL...

Not really that unusual for people in NSW. I think it is half the reason a lot of people here and SE QLD knock the game, because they have no idea what they are talking about. You may have seen parts of the game here and there and decided it isn't for you, which is fair enough! I tried to give soccer a go the other day - But for me personally it was the most boring pile of shit I have ever tried to watch, nothing happened, no one scored, it was crap - just my views though dude.

You may have seen parts of the game here and there and decided it isn't for you, which is fair enough! I have never knocked the game, and I've got an uncle and two cousins that are really into it (they follow St Kilda). I just am not anywhere near as entertained watching it as I am with soccer. That's all. And I respect those that don't like soccer either, everyone has a different taste in sport.

You would be surprised how big afl is in SE QLD. But with what you're saying I copped so much shit in high school for playing AFL since the the Central Coast is all about league. But once I took a few mates to watch/play their attitudes changed completely. I was only copping shit from them because they didn't understand the game.
