Had a good think about it and decided on an outback for the ability to go on the beach and have tones of room for gear.
Got a nice lux 02 model.
First day of ownership and tested it out
And then the first night of modding, used the stock brakes from the missus' wrx and some 06 xt rims i have
Then i bought some gen 4 lib struts with low springs. (Didn't know the front tophats didn't fit) ended up using some spare front sf coilovers.
Chucked some rims i had in the shed on.

Swapping the suspension took my half hour. So when i plan the beach trips it'll be lifted back up before i finish a tin
Ohk no i haven't taken any of that out as i'll be swapping back and fourth between stock and dropped.Outbacks have a body lift, a delift is where the spacers are removed and some liberty parts fitted.
I know it seems like a hassle but I find it the best of both worlds.

I reckon it'd be a pain swapping susp set ups all the time but if you're willing, then that's awesome!

Nice work!
Just out of interest, the lowered suspension can really stuff your control arm bushes if you don't delift it properly - even if you only have it lowered for a day.
Awesome choice though!

So are you also going to get a wheel alignment everytime you raise or drop it or just keep replacing tyres prematurely?
That low without a proper delift to Liberty spec puts all the Outback suspension geometry totally out of whack.

I was just thinking of the toe change and cringing a little. Would possibly be better to de-lift it and then raise it/lower it from there? as that's probably closer to a neutral point.

I've gone 2 years without a wheel alignment in my forester and it isn't chewing tyres.
They both steer straight and don't pull in any direction.
Either way i'm not to worried bout it. Drives smooth with no clunks.
This and my forester will be at the hunter cruise in may if anyone would like to sus either out.
