Or would I be better off dropping a completely different engine in it?

Thankyou, I'm assuming b4 front cut would be the best option?

B4 is probably the easiest, but the twin turbo set up is known as aids.
a WRX/STI front cut is the best option

In all honesty if you have to ask this question you are better of buying one that is already turboed, wether stock or converted.
This man speaks the truth.
Just sell it and buy a b4, cheaper and easyer for someone that dosnt know the cars etc.

Yeah you're right. But I want to learn how to do this and buying a B4 isn't what I want to do nor will it teach me anything.

speaking from experience if you dont know these cars well, i wouldn't recommend buying a B4 they are very complex.
I've learn't heaps more in the last 2.5 months than i did in a year on a single turbo Subaru, unless your prepared to learn about the TT system that is.

when i got my converted wagon it was forked, things were everywhere and ive since rebuilt the whole car, they are like big kids lego. The tt system is complex i agree and i hate tt cars.speaking from experience if you dont know these cars well, i wouldn't recommend buying a B4 they are very complex.

I'm not too keen on the B4, but the WRX half cut seems to be more appealing to me.
I'm willing to learn as much as I need to take this car in the direction I want.
I'm in no rush to do this so I've got plenty of time to do the research and go into it as prepared as I can be.

If you feel you are up for converting it. Go for it.
If you want to have some resale value and keep it legal, Buy a wrx.

If your like me and enjoy tinkering with stuff it is worth a shot to do it, but I would say only if you plan on keeping it for a long time or don't care about not making money back off it. I myself will proberly only get a new car if it gets written off.
