LOL that photo is of my old gen1 conversion!
Brad, you need to put the OWV in so the MAF sensor can read vacuum but not boost. So face the valve with the spring to the top and the plate at the bottom.

I've been using one suited for a fish tank that I picked up from a pet shop. Never had any trouble with it, highest its seen is 20psi. As Adrian said make sure you have it in the right way.

Yeah, along with Matty i also used a 50c petshop one. Never had a drama.

using one way valve from pet barn came in a 2 pack so will change dirrection of it see if its that

Boost cut is your ecu's way of saving your engine from having a bad time.
Being a series 1 gt with a td04 fitted, Set it to 11psi and forget.
