Gen3 liberty short in electricals

Help needed hey guys my gen3 liberty every time I put the brakes on my parker lights are comen on and then I put my headlights and and the brakes lights stop flicking on and off would anyone no where the short would be comen from? Cheers

Check the rear loom inside the boot on the driverside.. Mine had a few mashed cables there and I had the same symptoms as you.

Okay cool I'll have a look 2morrow I put leds in my Parkers ever sense I've had the problem but changed them back to the normal bulbs and still doin it

Also' have a look at the boot lid loom that connects to that loom. That's where my problem was. Might have to pull off some trim

Parkers coming on when hitting the brakes is often a single filament globe fitted where a twin filament should be.

The center connection of the single globe bridges the connector of the twin socket feeding the brake voltage up the park circuit.

Kinda hard to explain, but check you are using the correct globes.

Also, LED's are shit.

LED's are shit.

But...but...but....fully sik..best mod evah!!...25 extra kw...getz da bitchez and look hectik uleh!!! Haha I cant talk..my gen3 was covered in them lol

Being serious now..that was good advice Jason..would never have thought of that myself...you gotz da skillz

I would have said the loom aswell...but atleast you got some things to tick off the list to help sort it out

I just seems unlikely that the loom is at fault when only the globes were changed.

Probably not the cause, but relative.

My car had a towbar in a previous life, and the loom was left sitting In the spare wheel well. When I got a flat and changed the tire it obviously disturbed the perfect balance of not shorting out and started playing havoc with my indicators coming on and just staying on when I hit bumps. So possibly another source of the issue?

also check all your harnesses to make sure you haven't pinched anything in the engine bay
