Gents,

Realized today, none of my switches are illuminated (demister/fogs/HID's).

I cracked open the HID leveler switch to find it had no globe at all (removed) and the other switches all have blown globes. I have no idea what size they are in order to replace them, they are tiny. They also have a flat base which twist locks into the switch.

Anyone have any idea what size they should be?

Also while on the topic of LED replacements, are all the festoon globes throughout the Gen3 31mm?

If they are a wedge type, should be a T-5

Nah not wedge, flat base twist-in. Has an 8mm base. From what i can find, seems to be T3. But i want to be 100% before i buy.

they are like $6 each from subaru..
and most of the time on the wrong base..

go in and get them to match them..

from memory there are 2 types.. one is higher wattage and if you get the wrong one you will just melt the condoms ;)

they are uber fragile too..i have replaced them so many times and while installing the switch again fukcing blown again.

TBH i just go to pick a part and raid all teh Gen1's for their switches.. swap the globes in the bases and all good to go.. and costs like $2 (entry) ;)

I ended buying some LED ones off ebay. I measured the ones i had up with what the advertised ones were. Will find out soon! They are cheap enough so if they're wrong, stiff shit.

Okay, i got some T3's. I like the lighting colour of them but here lies the problem after install.

The LED is too small and the light doesn't disperse properly. It worked well in the HID toggle but the other 2 switches are only half illuminated.

I used this type of LED

Im going to pull them out and try these ones instead:

Maybe the light is focused on a smaller area with the LEDs?

Yeah spot on man, the normal globe protrudes out of the little base about 5mm. The LED only sits about 1mm off the base so i dont think it's tall enough to spread the light.
