Alright guys and girls. It's time for SubyClub's first competition, and to kick things off we have decided to hold a best DIY competition.

This will allow you to post up your experiences with modifications, maintenance or improvements to your car, along with step - by - step instructions on how to complete the work.

It does not need to be an advanced guide on how to do a turbo conversion, even something small like how to change your head unit will be accepted!

Guides should be set out in an easy to follow format, and pictures will assist with the guide. Pictures can be hosted on SubyClub by using the attachment feature, and if there are any problems please PM Twinturbosubaru or myself for further assistance.

The competition will operate over a 5 week period, followed by 1 week of voting by users for the best guides.

------------------------------------------------------------
Competition start date: 00:00 22nd March 2009
Competition end date: 23:59 10th May 2009
Voting commences: 08:00 22th May 2009
Voting ends: 08:00 5th June 2009
------------------------------------------------------------

Please post up your guides in the relevant Tech. sub-forum - please see here for a list of sub-forums. If your DIY does not fit in to one of these areas, or you are unsure of where to submit it, please PM me for further advice.

Please note that once you have submitted your guide to the forum, you must post up a link and the title of the guide in this thread. If you fail to do this, it WILL NOT be entered in to the competition.

Once the competition end date is reached, a vote will be established and allow users to vote for their favourite DIY - you will be able to vote for your own and users will only be allowed to vote once.

------------------------------------------------------------

Competition Prizes:

1st Place: $100 Supercheap auto gift voucher that can be used at any participating stores + SubyClub sticker
2nd Place: $50 Supercheap auto gift voucher that can be used at any participating stores + SubyClub sticker
3rd Place: $25 Supercheap auto gift voucher that can be used at any participating stores + SubyClub sticker

So get those creative juices flowing and get your guides prepared ready for submission! Get your friends to jump online and vote for your entry when voting is established!

Good luck to all of you, and happy modding!

Dylan.

------------------------------------------------------------

Validated competition entries:

- SUBARU - Gen3 NA Direct Air Intake
- SUBARU - Fitting Header Extractors to your NA Subaru
- CRUISN - Custom Vent Mounted Boost gauge
- B4TT - Cleaning The MAF Sensor
- SUBARU - Gen3 Liberty / Legacy Strut removal and install
- Provar - Liberty Brake Upgrade

------------------------------------------------------------

Voting:

Voting for this competition will be done via a separate page. This will read from your SubyClub login information, so please ensure you are logged in to the forum first before proceeding to vote.

You can only vote once, so please take your time and make your decision wisely. Votes are recorded along with your username, IP address and time of vote.

Voting will be open for a 2 week period, for times and dates please see above.

***** Click HERE to vote *****

Good luck to everyone involved!

Competition organisers may or may not accept guides. Plagiarised submissions will NOT be accepted, this must be a completely original guide. Competition is subject to further terms and dates may change without notice. Gift vouchers are a retail option purchased from Supercheap auto, and SubyClub has no affiliation with Supercheap auto or any of its stores.

No, submit as many as you like - you will receive more entries in to the vote and at the end the votes for each entry will be tallied for each user.

You submit 2 entries you get two entries in to the vote. If each of those get 5 votes EACH, you have a total of 10 votes.

What about entering DIY's you have previously done that are on other forums? Can you paste them over here and enter them? Good timing with my manual conversion going in in the next 2 weeks. :D

Mark!

Manual conversion and Billies install makes for 2 good DIY threads. Wanna team up and help each other out with the DIY's and installs and then split the profits on car polish e.t.c from Suprezcheeps??

New DIY up! Probably not the greatest DIY ever, but it's been very helpful for the NA guys over on the other forum.

http://www.subyclub....p?showtopic=959

Should we have a dedicated DIY section on the site? They seem to be scattered all over the place at the moment.

Excellent work Chris! That's fantastic mate.

My way of thinking is, having the DIY guides spread amongst the technical threads will be more beneficial for all users of the site whilst searching for information in technical areas. If all topic titles begin with 'DIY:' it should make things relatively easy to follow.

If people beg to differ then I would kindly ask you to comment in the relevant thread.

Im starting mine this weekend. Aiming to have all auto related gear out ready for manual install the following weekend. Im going to start it Saturday arvo, so if your not busy, come and say hi or even Sunday arvo. Pretty sure it'll be mostly 1 person work until i pull out the box though you may just be standing around a bit.

Dammit, i knew i should have taken pics while doing my stereo install :(

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?
