Well just reading that P plates were a thing from about 1965-68ish. My parents wouldn't have been legally driving a car at that age haha, perhaps it was much more lax away from the city or something? I dunno.

Definitely my in laws... I've seen photos of their cars and they had P's.
Will double check with dad though. Maybe they did get rid of them for a period?
Mate, since having our licences how often have you seen the rules change?
In QLD they're almost back to the original pre-p-plate laws.

We've got a corporate offsite meeting around MDSC time, and I've got leave over Xmas this year booked in already.
I will consider your reply over the next few days and decide if I will grant you leave of absence from MDSC to attend this corporate function.
At this stage I will say "Don't hold your breath".

What do you mean? QLD gave the world Bob Katter, Pauline Hanson, Schapelle Corby, and Clive Palmer.

How? What? Why?
Exactly how old are you?
My MIL and FIL had P plates. They're 55 and 57 respectively.
My mum and dad had P plates. They're 47 and 50 respectively.
Surely they wouldn't have gotten rid of them completely becuase I know you're not 50!
ACT licence my man! They also never used to have points.
You could also be suspended to drive in NSW and still be legal in the ACT because the systems were not linked.
