Started to change my steering wheel to a newer one I bought recently, the stock steering wheel had cruise control and no airbag, when I was dissembling it I noticed that the horn connects to the cruise control module, which I wouldn't be able to have with the new wheel, is there a way to have the aftermarket steering wheel and horn without having the cruise control module?

I'm pretty sure the CCM is wired into the horn as a convenient source of power in the wheel.
Just wire it to some other (fused) source.
