I'm thinking about the down/dump pipe or turbo back
is a down/dump pipe enough to gain decent power? because I'm not looking forward to the droning of the car

3" turbo back is definitely a good performance mod. The drone will really defend on what muffler you use. Try and listen to as many different exhausts as you can and pick a muffler you like the sound of.

Hey mate,
As long as you stick to a well designed system and not a cheap ebay item you shouldn't have a problem with drone.

downpipe won't change the exhaust sound at all and will give 80% of the power that a full tbe gives. I'd recommend that and a decent tune to start off with. and also a rear sway bar. perfect starting mods
