So I've searched, but haven't really come across images or discussion on what boost gauges / meter brands provide a good match to the standard green, non-BFM, gen3 instruments.

I was looking at some older OEM (WRX) lamco's, but they don't look like a match.

The defi-BF (silver ring) or turbosmart are close-ish (except for the light colour), but need some opinions or pics.

Any other good matches to give an OEM look? I'll probably DIN mount it in the center console.

Could do it the other way around and convert to a BFM. Just an idea

yeh - but then I'd need to find something to match that!

(and I don't want to see any parts behind my dash for a little while. I'm still in therapy).

bugger - I can see a problem with the defi BF straight up. - they're only 60mm.  Only the CR comes in 52mm.

Defi Racer gauges are 52mm.

My Gen2 GT had a similar cluster to your Gen3. I used an Autometer gauge in that. It was a mechanical type and not as fancy as a Defi, but matched the oem cluster very nicely when illuminated.

imo the best one if you can find it is an HKS 46mm, black face with green illumination.

Need more fotos!

The problem seems to be too much change in manufacturer's lineup.

eg: HKS - here's an old model of some sort that looks like a reasonable appearance.

whilst the current HKS offering (only one model?) looks like shite: (that font, really?!)

This old omori looks reasonable.. and comes in extra stealth 45mm

I need a trip to a few wreckers or Ben with a battery in hand.

Zahmad,

yeh - I've been eyeing those off. They are nice and tidy. But there's no resolution on the boost, and they rarely seem to come with the matching sensors.

Fair enough, I think they are the best factory din gauge set up out there...

agreed... I may be swayed.. though I think oil pressure would be more useful than temp.

If your talking din gauges then I don't think you can go past this defi set up (black dial, green illumination). I'm about to buy one for my liberty but can get better pricing for multiple units if anyone else is interested. They're $700 rrp + post but get cheaper the more units I buy. It doesn't require a link controller and comes with all sensors/senders. Pm me if your interested

Perused a few defi 52mm's on IM.. a bit too exxy.

Have put my money down on a VDO vision like below.  Not really JDM, and I was a bit dissappointed they don't come in metric units (bar or kg/cm2)

Will post pics when its installed.
