So I have a new whip. It's a well known car around these parts. I'm happy to have kept it in the subyclub family.

Its a 1997 Gen 2 Outback limited (Cruisn edition lol)

Flew down to Mexico. Met Mark, picked her up unrego'd (I had a permit to drive her home). After 3 different cops pulled me over & 8 hrs of driving she is in her new home of NSW.

I must say this thing is mint. I've never seen a car of 17 years look this clean and tidy.

Its current state it has the following:

Engine:

Standard EJ25D replaced with engine sourced and serviced by AMAuto. 4 layer metal headgaskets fitted and all seals, waterpump, timing belt, etc replaced.

Power steering pump and alternator just completely rebuilt.

Transmission:

JDM Version 6 STi 4.44 5 speed manual conversion. 80k on box, 10K on clutch. 4.44 Outback auto diff.

Brakes:

'11 Forester XT 2 pot 294mm front brakes with Bendix GCT pads and oem rotors. Pads only just fitted and rotors machined.

'06 Liberty GT 1 pot 290mm rear brakes with new oem pads and oem rotors.

Both calipers just stripped and refurbed in Brembo gold.

Goodridge braided lines all round.

Wheels / tyres:

'01 Forester GT 16 x 6.5 +48 rims with Rockstone 215/60/16 tyres. Front tyres brand new, rear tyres 90%.

Suspension:

Car completely de-lifted to Liberty spec using all oem parts.

JDM GTB Bilstein struts and springs.

Whiteline 20mm adjustable rear swaybar.

Exhaust:

GC8 WRX exhaust manifold.

Custom 2" mandrel bent stainless steel centre pipe with stainless steel Magnaflow resonator.

'06 WRX stainless steel diff back muffler.

Exterior:

JDM projector headlights. de-oranged with chrome bulbs and Philips Crystal vision low beam and parker globes. Lenses are 100% crystal clear with zero yellowing. They have NOT been reconditioned.

Custom black grill with color coded badge

Legacy Turbo bonnet

Oem moulded mudflaps

Legacy tailgate spoiler

Brand new rear bumper protector

Clear lens fog lights with Philips 3000K globes and brand new oem fog light grills

Interior:

Gen3 Legacy GTB front seats retrimmed to match oem leather / suede combo.

'01 JDM Forester STi steering wheel - mint condition.

V6 STi shift knob - mint condition

New leather shift boot

WRX alloy pedals

Legacy floor mats

Legacy cargo tray

Legacy instrument cluster gauges (original one supplied also)

Legacy puddle lamps

Sony X plode HU 6 Clarion speakers from an '00 Legacy GTB.

Planned mods for her:

Coilovers

18's of some sort.

Exhaust

Towbar

New headunit, speakers & sub.

Just drive it & enjoy it. :D

This looks like it's going to be an excellent project, couldn't have found a better base to start from.

I wish you a happy relationship - man and machine.

Cheers fellas.

Yeah the cops were just pulling over a car with no plates. That's all, its was all legal. But it would take them about 15-20mins each time.

Nice one Simo!

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

No turbot plans?

If something was to go pear shaped with this engine. Yes. But until then. No.

Great pick up Simonchello

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Good to see it go to someone who will take care of it. :)

Wheels and exhaust hey?? Wonder what they could be. :P

Towbar should be identical from Liberty to Outback for the Gen2 afaik.

That would make sense, as the outback has higher ground clearance.

I dare say mine won't fit, Simo. It doesn't clear the lip on my RX Bar. Happy for you to try it though...
