Hey guys,

I've got a 2001 WRX and looking at doing my spark plugs and it looks like i'll have to take the battery out to get enough room. However i was wondering if this will have any ill effects on the immobiliser?

If it's a standard Brant then quite possibly mate. I will assume it is.

I have heard there is a time window in which you have to change the battery. It has never worked for me but my Brant is a special bit of kit.  I reckon I would have to be in the top 10% of people that constantly get immobilised, in the history of mankind.........because the Brant is a retarded, poorly built & installed piece of shit.

If you get stuck, send me a PM.  I'm on here lots.
