hmmm.. Certainly has rhythm.
But the rhymes in the first script, seemed to forced and 'forget' the emotion in some instances.
Your second script I think, is better. You are showing more then telling (first script it mostly telling )
I know the repetition in the second script is purposeful, but to maybe break the repetition up a little, instead of - The sun glows a hollow red.
You could try simply putting 'a sun glows...' for example, it might work in with the repetition but also give a different feeling...?
Also, ending on a positive I like how the emotion flows in the second one, nicely done.
