It's actually because it was the first time we'd actually engaged in combat war as a nation of Australia.

Not actually true, we were involved in the Boer war up until 1902

But we entered that war as separate Australian colonies as part of the British Empire.

Yes, but also the new Australian Government/Commonwealth also sent troops over in 1901 in 3 or 4 seperate lots, the last of which never saw action because the war had ended by the time they arrived

Afternoon all.

Night out in Newtown/the city for a mates 22nd birthday. His whole family moved over from Portugal to make for a better life here in Australia as they couldn't get jobs back there even with university degrees. Smart and quiet kid so hopefully tonight we can show him how we party.

It's gonna be a heavy one I reckon. I don't plan to come home tonight.

Any way to fix the play I've got on my automatic gearbox? It moves side to side only a few millimetres, but enough to annoy me. It doesn't feel solid if you know what I mean.

I can't remember if I've asked this question before.

I suspect there are a pair of bushes at the bottom of the gear lever and they are a bit worn.

Jump on opposedforces.com and take a look at the pics.

Ha ha, it was my first choice. Believe me. But the wagon I've got now was the best contender. Manual of automatic, doesn't phase me at all.

I assume so too. I'll take a look now. Thanks Jase.
