my mate has blown his auto gear box in his 01 wrx up and were trying to find a new one or fix the old one?
my question is there a difference in the the clutches between non turbo and turbo?
and can we uese another model subaru 4eat box? liberty outback etc.

the car will move when cold but once hot constantly slips and wont drive in any gears.
atf level is spot on and no leeks car is stock....?????

any help would be great!!

Im wondering is any body is running a rwd set up with my04 wrx gear box and stock rear diff? if so have they had any problems with the strength of the diff holding the power?
or are most rear subaru rear diffs weak? in this application?
would the h6 be stronger more like the r160 ?
any input would be great?

so i have made a group with a bit of luck may take off its a Subaru buy and sell wanted page.

ok so i when to sydney to pick up my new outback as i really wanted a wagon.
i am in the process of selling my liberty sedan which i already have.
so what i bought well!
its a 2001 rev 1 outback premium
so its got the works
cd stacker
twin sunroofs
the best donk! H6 3.0!
few small extras
cargo cover
weather sheilds the small subaru ones
roof racks
cream leather / in terrier /seats

mods to do:
remove nudge bar
remove fog light covers
change the truck mirrors to liberty ones
3 inch full exhaust
lower!!!
wrx manual gear box
window tint remove / get retinted
SWAP FULL IN TERRIER FOR LIBERTY WAGON OR BLACK LEATHER/ CLOTH.(hint)
dash swap to liberty
install stereo back into obk
rear wing
install front lip
paint gold panels same white.
put my black sti wheels on
install braded lines
insatill wrx brakes all round
flash tune!!!!!
rev 3 front still undecided???
gtb bonnet
tow bar
thats all i can think of atm enjoy
ps thats a turbo excell in out front yard!

as some of u know im in the market for a outback(looking at one this week end H6 XD)
as im wanting to lower it i have a quiestion i know u need a few items to do this.
what would be the result of just putting coilovers in and lowering it? with out the arms,cross members etc?
