Managed to source a second solenoid box but don't have it in yet. Had a mate look at the plumbing too, something wasn't quite right but hopefully the new box will fix it. Some of the vac lines were a bit brittle at the ends also so as soon as I find and fix the faulty 
er I will replace all the lines but keep any restrictors just in case. From what I understand they are mainly only responsible to stop surging when cruising? I live on that desolate hemorrhoid to the south of main land Australia and the longest straight bit of road is only 4k's anyway so surging shouldn't be too much of a concern.
