Cruise Light Flashing

In my 2.5L which I've had for about 6 months the cruise control light has started flashing the whole time I'm driving. I've never used crusie control in the car. And also the malfunction light is on permanently. What is wrong with my car? Any advice is good advice. Cheers.

I want to compile a list of all the models in Liberty range from 2004-2008, cause I'm having trouble with some. If anyone can help that would be cool. I don't really know the Premium packs and STI ones etc. Just Sedans too. I'm thinking about trading in for a GT or a 3 litre H6 Liberty. Do the 3 litres keep up with the 2 litre turbos? I think I'd rather N/A.
