Hey guys. I am posting because I couldn't find anything related to the topic above, there was but it wasn't too specific as to what EJ20 and an EJ25 from where. I'm running an EJ20K, version 3 with the early model "push type" tensioner on the timing belt (for reference) on my GC8. I'm interested in an EJ25 but I only managed to find one off a Forester SG5. Others were in pretty bad shape. The engine looks stunning and is in great condition (which is rare in Malaysia...) but I'm a little worried about swapping it due to the wiring. If the ecu sockets are the same, would I be able to swap the EJ25 over without much problem? Your anwers will be much appreciated. Thank you!
