GC8 to GDA (02 RS) suspension conversion?

I'd love someone to clear this up for once and for all, I have searched countless forums finding nothing that really clarifies the question for me (being a dumb dumb!) :scratch_one-s_head:

 

GC8 front suspension will directly bolt into GDA?

GC8 Rear suspension will bold into GDA provided the top hat is changed to GDA top?

 

Reason I'm asking is there is rather slim pickings for GDA coilovers where as GC8 coils seem to be coming out of every crackle in the interwebs.

Similar to trying to find 5x100 over 5x114.2 wheels


05 sti front sway bar help?

hey all.

 

awhile ago i bought a set of front and rear sway bars off a mates 05 sti with the plan of fitting them to my 02 rs.

 

now i have already come to the conclusion that the rear bar will not fit my car, but i never tried and was wondering if the front sway bar would fit into my car? 

 

if anyone has any knowledge that they can pass onto me that would just be swell :P


05 forester missing/backfiring under load

hi, we have a 05 N/A forester at work which we can not diagnose, it is mising/backfiring under load, but we cant figure out why.

 

sofar we can not diagnose one specific cylender missing by pulling the leads.

we have replaced:

-plugs

-leads

-coil pack

-MAF

-fuel pump

-fuel filter

plus a few more.

 

does anyone know what would be the problem?

 

will be changing the temp sensor troubleshooting the injectors soon


ej25 rebuild tips?

i work at a subaru specialist but we normaly out sorce rebuild work as we are a small compay. anyway i have an 02 RS impreza that is in desperated need of a big birthday. currently i have a leaking head gasket and possible fingered piston rings. not to mention terrible fuel economey (not to do with driving style thanks).

 

i planed on doing a full rebuld on my girl but the guys at work could not realy offer too much help in terms of pricings for parts and what not. so i was wondering what sort of costs would be envolved in rebulding the engine, also i have done mutiple head gasket jobs at work, so i have no problems pulling the engine and stripping down to the heads. but i have never gone further than that. i need to know how much more work will be required to strip the whole thing, will it be relitvly easy like the heads?

 

any tips will be greatly appreciated, so thanks guys.


02 RS LCA and sway bar conversion

i recently bought sti lower control arms and sway bars off a mate with the idea of fitting them to my 02 RS.
 
i am after the configuration of these components as i have no idea how they came off the STI. and before you tell me to just compare it to my stock set up, they are in fact different
