Wow, love this so much!

 

If you could do a detailed write up of the rebuilding process that would be great :)

 

I'm still tossing between rebuilding an engine or halfcut for my conversion.

Good to see people reading it haha. Yeah i will do a massive write on the lot when the block is long =)

 

A rebuild is always good cause you will find out the state of your long block and can set a budget. e.g. got spare cash can buy new pistons and up the bore size, rods, crank etc. Or be like me just use original parts but clean it all up for peace of mind and replace what needs to be replaced.

 

But yeah it is a hard decision as if your converting everything is included with the half cut

Was supposed to update this a month ago but been flat out with work

Crank and seals in. Sealant applied to one half

Picked up a stock set of wheels and wheeled her out for a clean.

And thats as far as i got. Next time im back i will get a set of ARP studs, new set of valves and clearances done.
 
Then i can finally start trail fitting the good bits. Bad news is i wont be going home for a while so back on hold she goes.

Awesome work man. Never seen a complete dash conversion like this. Fits near perfect and you get a fancy dash and cluster =)
