What do we know? (Enough to know that we really know nothing?) <------[/deep]
Headlight globe? Typically H7..
Panel or POD filter? Panel - changed regularly, no, not expensive, long-lasting apexi ones, cheap subaru ones, CHANGED REGULARLY - OR - pod in guard.. No pod in engine bay unless it's boxed..
Intake? Good idea.. But beware of water entering your engine..
Exhaust? Go local.. Don't expect too much.. Don't make it too loud.. Varex = win!
Lowering? Again, go local, but shop around.. King springs are ok.. Sti springs are ok too.. Eibach, Pedders, Lovells, Tein etc are all ok too.. SUPERLOW = bang around like a p-plater from Newcastle, prematurely ruining your shock-absorbers..
Rims? 5x100 PCD, offset around 45.. But.. tbh TYRES are more important.. Don't WASTE money by changing rims more often than undies.. Buy GOOD tyres but.. please!
Coilovers? Hmmm.. stick with bilsteins if you can help it.. Or KYB new or STI secondhand.. No G4/D2/ebay no brand coilovers please.. too short a lifespan! If you track your car regularly, get Teins or similar.. If you don't, don't.
Brakes? No doubt.. BIGGER=BETTER.. slotted = spunky times.. drilled = might crack, as in fail, as in 'breaks'.. 4-Pots look good.. APRacing look better.. Brembo = BLING (but if you were really serious you'd have the AP's)
Auto to manual conversion? ONLY if you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO! Usually more drama than is worth..
NA to Turbo conversion? Um, yep.. that's the plan.. but get a halfcut and do it properly.. and best go for SINGLE turbo (WRX) over twin..
Tints? Not so dark you mow down pedestrians.. SERIOUSLY!
Speeding / undertaking / not indicating / tailgating / drink driving / not slowing for crossings & schools That's just STUPID!
