what turbo you running?

Sorry should have put that in there as well. It's a VF48. Only running 17 psi (or 18, I can't remember now) so there's still a bit left in it. Especially with the major service coming up soon, never know what else I could get done at the same time haha

Well the big update is here. I may have gone a little overboard 9e9e8d80b512eeb40f1f5d35b26e75e4.jpg

So I went with a Process West TMIC and intake, GFB BOV, DW200 fuel pump and Grimmspeed AOS. 479afadbf403d0b138b0fac5b89896fe.jpg

It got tuned today and I'm pretty damn happy so far. Haven't been able to open it right up yet, but the quick hit I did get was really nice.

the other thing I'll put up is that way back in Feb my father in law and I got to head up to Mount Panorama with Subaru Australia for a day they had called 'Climb The Mountain'. My father in law bought a brand new Forester XT late last year, and they emailed all customers with this opportunity and he jumped at it and got it for a surprise christmas present for me. The day was based around being taken around Mount Panorama by Tarmac Rally champions Dean Herridge and Cody Crocker in brand new STi's. I'll put a full write up somewhere more appropriate but I'll put a couple of pics up here as well. Also have a couple of awesome videos from the day I'll put up as well haha.

We also got to see some awesome cars that were to be released (they now have been released - time flies haha) including the Forester STi and Levorg STi. I was instantly fell in love with the Levorg and will be buying one eventually once we get our house next year. This was a JDM model as the AUDM hadn't been officially confirmed at this point

My god how time flies, I can't believe I haven't posted since New Years Eve! Got a promotion at work and then my workload got out of control slowly, 20 hour days weren't uncommon. But I have a new job now so there will be quite a few updates over the next couple of weeks.

The only update I have so far is that sometime a few months ago I got cut off in traffic while doing 80km/h by a car that was stationary in a turning lane. Stood on the brakes and had to swerve big time but did manage (somehow) to not make contact with the idiot, but the main thing that stuck with me was how poor the standard brakes were as this was the first emergency stop I'd done in the car. As soon as I got home I ordered a new brake setup. I have gone with WRX 4 pot fronts and 2 pot rears, with Intima SS pads all round and DBA T2 rotors all round.

Previous owner had painted them black so I stripped that crap off and gave them a good clean. Came up aright I reckon. Also the braking difference is like night and day, I cant believe how much better it feels.

I will post more updates and photos over the next week or 2, there will be quite a few :)

So we got to the root of all my problems, seems the hose from the intercooler to the throttle body was a non genuine item and didn't seal over the throttle body itself even when clamped down as it was too big. So when I occasionally put my foot down a little more hose would come loose until eventually the car freaked out because it was running too rich.

I've ordered a genuine replacement from the states as there was none in Australia, but in the mean time we've clamped the absolute shite out of the hose that's on there now and it's made a massive difference, fuel economy has dropped from around 11.5 litres per 100km to under 10 on the first tank since the fix haha happy days :)
