I'll be fitting a R180 with the conversion. The shaft stubs are male on both mine and the 6 speed units. My main concern is the compatibility of the CV splines fitting my hubs. If not then the possibility of fitting my CV's onto the wheel end of the 6 speed's half shafts.

In Topic: E85 Flex fuel Impressions.

Got e85 on my Gtr, love the stuff!! car runs smoother, makes more power

The only draw back ive had from it currently is availability, i carry a full Jerry can in the boot just in case when traveling further

Great stuff indeed Brett. Availability was a concern for me too, which is why I didn't do the conversion sooner. But with the flex fuel setup, as the name suggests, you can run the ethanol with any percentage of premium you like. If you're low on fuel, bung in a few litres of premium till you get to your next e85 top up. The system automatically remaps the fuel and ignition based on the percentage of ethanol in your tank.

The main purpose of this post is, however, to ascertain if anyone is having issues like cold starts difficulties etcetera.

In Topic: EJ20 - EJ25 Engine Swap/Manifold Swap

If all the parts are from the 06'-07' model range then all the ancillaries, heads, etc should bolt straight onto the 2.5lt block. Combustion chamber volume is smaller on the 2lt heads but not enough to be a problem. The 2.5lt ECU is mandatory and you must use what ever injectors that ECU was originally run with. The ECU need to be swapped by a Subaru service centre as they require re-coding. Other than that, it's a straight forward swap.

I feel like there's an element of wishful thinking on my part, expecting it to handle 300kw no matter how prudent my driving is.
