check engine light comes on, turbo's turn off

06 January 2017 - 11:05 AM

hi, ive had a few issues with my car over the last couple of months, its a 2003 B4 RSK and thought they all had been fixed, here are the ones that were found and fixed,
1) primary turbo solenoid buggered and replaced.
2)aftermarket BOV leaking, replaced with factory one.
3)restrictor pills missing or in the wrong place.
4)vacuum lines around the wrong way.
now something else is happening, but only sometimes, when im giving it s**t, at around 6000rpm, there is a big kick, the check engine light comes on and the turbo's drop off line, i have to turn it off and restart it, after that the turbo's are going fine again, any thoughts??

hey all, im only new here and am having problems with my car (dont we all)
the issue im having is this, ive got a 2003 TT RS-K S-Edition B4 and my secondary turbo is not going, primary works fine, but im only getting 7.6psi as opposed to the normal 14.2psi, but what is odd, is sometimes it goes, and other times it decides to go have a coffee and do nothing, im only new to turbo cars, so dont really know anything about them, and im really hoping that sombody can PLEASEhelp me with this.
cheers,
Rob
