Hi Guys, I have a 2010 Tribeca and one of the Headlight housings has some how burnt-out the HID section internally. What I mean is that the ballast ceased working, the HID bulb is still in working condition. The High Beam is working and also the Parking bulb is working.
Does anyone know if the Non-HID Headlight assembly beams the light as good as the HID headlight assembly. Over here in Australia a second-hand HID headlight assembly costs $750. On ebay I can get one HID assembly in america for around $500 or both sides of the Non-HID for around $450.
They look like they use the projector lens on both the types.

Is it correct that projector lens only work with HID bulbs?

Just want to know if the NON-HID assembly beams on the road the same as the HID assembly.

Whats your opinion.
