Thanks for props, El_Freddo. I've seen pics of some of those bull bars you guys have in Aussi. Some look downright HUGE to my North American eye. But knowing some of the animals you have there, I don't wonder why.

I'd love to get some bigger rims and tires on it some day but can't afford them and all the extra work needed for extra weight and stressed they would cause. Of course that conflicts with desire to stay stock on this nice example. Would love to get another one and retrofit an STI engine and suspension / wheel and tire upgrades for it. That's a day dream tho unless I stumble into a pile of money.

Link to body shop post of respray project, includes 'before' pics of body and topper. Plus attached pic of trophy for 'sponsors' choice' at Flat 4 Fest Subaru event this August.

Almost 61,000 miles which I guess is around 98,000km.

There were several toppers available for 2nd gen BRAT / Brumby. Some are as high as top of cab roof, and others higher to allow room for jumpseat headrests and/or roll bars. I've got one of each, but prefer higher versions. This one is a little peculiar but only one I've found that I could get my hands on. Plus it's got those big off-road lights, which look cool and vintage to me in this LED world.
