haha power went out at my work today, and i work in a office tower thats joined to a shopping centre also.
bit weird!
but i didnt get locked out or anything. the backup power still let the lifts work

Seems pretty cost efficient upgrade to grab just a bit more power and less fuel usage. 
whats the diameter of the pipe you have put on compared to the original?
