Community Status Updates

How is it, that from a country of 22million plus people, we always seem to end up with a socially awkward, unlikeable, uncool, outright irritating person at the head of our major political parties? Where have all the inspiring, up to date, like able and approachable people gone? Why has our apathy to the world of politics lead us here? When will we make a change? What would happen if everyone didn't fill in a card and decided that we don't want either of these twits or their mass of lunatics...
