So many words!!!

It's because the rotors are warped and your headgasket is forked.

Can you diagnose this rash also please

The rash is a fungus, Adam.

So I did a bit more camping, this time at Bright in the Vic high country. Not really camping as we were in a caravan park on an un-powered site, but still a good spot. Had a creek with a swimming hole about 5m from the camper and the main swimming hole in the Ovens river was a 200m walk downstream.

Weather sucked balls, forking hot with ridiculous levels of humidity (Hi Josh!) so we just grabbed some chairs and sat in the creek with some beers.

Nice shady spot under the trees.

Had the BEST fire pit I have ever seen on our site, and old dredge bucket!

The county side is stunning, and you can imaging what the roads are like!

Got up early one morning and did this drive, Bright to Mt Beauty then back via Ovens. Takes about 1.5hrs. I forgot how good the roads are as it's been 10 years since I've been there, but I also forgot how many people ride up there on bikes. They are forking nuts, it's steep as fork!

Some cows slowed up the pace a bit!

Look at the temp. It was this hot outside for almost the entire 4hr drive from Melb. Setting up camp in 37deg is a flog!

Doesn't matter I suppose.  Fire will sort it out quick.

THIS ISN'T TECH TALK.

can I just machine my rotors and keep my pads?

I have the same issue atm. I still have a bit of life left in my pads so I'm just gonna wait it out and do it all at once.

Nope, just a cubt.  :)

That speedo is out, common on GenIV's. The error is about 9% and I'm in a 110 zone. ;)

You need a Commodore. Mine showed 2000rpm @ 110.

Makes sense when redline is 5500rpm and the engine falls out at 4700rpm.

So.. I'm near enough on empty and have gone 390km this tank (from zero on the trip meter). So add ~50km for the left overs. That's near enough 450 to a tank on the B4 these days. With intermittent A/C and some boost. Not sure if ok or really shit mileage..

Also yeah mine is out by 5km, 105 = 100, I usually hover at 110 then ease off if my spidey sense tingles. About the same, 2500rpm at 110 on mine.

Quick google, and that's 14/100. Same as the NRMA tests when new for town driving (I do a lot of that lately), not bad for its age.
