I really appreciate the good wishes man, thanks. I also hope finding a job for you isn't anywhere as difficult. I've been solidly applying for six months, and not just with a bank either. Only this past week has anything really hit home with regards to getting to the point of signing papers.
One of the recruiters just called my boss for a reference. This was his text message to me just now, "Mate I just gave you a glowing reference. Bankwest. They think you are responsible for ending World War 2 and the moon landing. Hopefully, they are keen to hire you mate."

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,right off.

For those that care; Bankwest are the ones doing the referees checks now and sending me the contract and CBA are the ones I was interviewed by today. I guess that puts everything into context a bit?

Bankwest are fun to work for. They have epic 6 monthly parties.

Really? The chicks that I saw in the Bankwest branch in the city were pretty delicious too. CBA are bigger and are based in Sydney, whereas Bankwest are based in Perth. I'll wait to hear back from CBA before signing contracts and stuff of course. I want to compare both positions and weigh up the advantages and disadvantages.
