not the best "stock" photo of a happy old guy to use there so what are you going to be using the machine for ? by memory, do you mean memory (ram) or storage (hard drives)

Stuff goes here

I think I mean both. I want it to be fast. The machine at the moment is running 768MB - which I am led to believe from reading through, that this is the reason it is such a sloth ?

Any ideas?

I can get most brands through work Niko, depending what you need it for. We mostly do HP - they do some good entry level server stuff.

With what you've said (and to last forever) you'd want to look around the ML160 G6 area.

LINK

Has ability for redundant hard drives (RAID) to prevent data loss in case of a hard drive failure, is dual CPU capable, supports a butt-load of hard drives etc. The link above to the HP site has the basic machine then you just add shit on.

I'll look up some prices if you're interested, let me know.

(it'd be a tax write-off for you anyways eh?)

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I have a black box with blue lights that says netgear on it that I think is doing all my backing up. It has two terradrives or whatever you call them.

Yep a NAS unit. Like I said the link to the HP above comes with just the basics and you add stuff in when buying it so you don't NEED to have a heap of hard drives, you just have the option of puting them in.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Yer bro, if you can price me up that'd be sweet. Not much money in the kitty at the moment, but I think I should try for it.

The number 166999 means nothing apart from the fact that your car has more than 100 thousand K's more than mine.

Yo Morgs,

I see your delicious mouth watering pie for lunch smothered in its saucy red counterpart, and raise you my dinner meal.
