Would you mind saying what model/cost? Full screen = 7" ?I wanted to steer clear of the eBay brands for obvious reasons. I settled for a full screen Kenwood.
Cheers, I like the look of the double DIN 7" face (for GPS) opposed to the singe DIN motorised flip-up face.Is it easy to install? Yes most definitely. The hardest part is ripping apart the dash, but even that isn't terribly challenging. In my case, I'm doing the install with a mate of mine who does it for a living, only because mine includes a rear camera and TV tuner, hence things get a bit complex.
DIN merely refers to the size of the stereo. Its a standard measurement used in the car industry. Your car would have a Clarion single DIN head unit standard. The later Gen3 models have the double DIN head units which is big enough to incorporate the cassette player.
Not really interested in the DVD playing component, but it's pretty much a standard feature for that price range.
Do you know if there are "wiring harness adapters" for Gen3 Subaru's like the MightyMods boys used on their install?
May I ask where that one came from? China? Brand name?I uninstalled it because it died in the ass.
Touch screen stopped working, ipod control never really worked that well, USB struggled to make any sense... all round not a very good option. Got most of my money back after a lengthy email-tennis match.
So that's $1500ish?After the wedding I'm going to get a Pioneer AVH-P3250BT from www.ryda.com. Awesome prices on all their products and they all work! Woohoo!
Was originally looking at the 3150DVD but I want the Bluetooth handsfree and to get a Parrot separately was more expensive than getting it incorporated into the unit.
Any other brand names to consider? Other than Pioneer/Kenwood/Alpine/JVC/Eclipse?
