We're getting given one but get to choose it.
Looking between the $500-650 mark.

Anyone have any recommendations for digital camcorders?
...for the honeymoon?
Just don't buy the cheapest. Go to the shop, find the cheapest one - then get 2 models above it. Make sure you get a warranty, make sure it's a brand name you've heard of.
These are the rules.

Mainly for our wedding though
The cheapy ones are about $200 from what ive seen. $600 seems to be a reasonable budget

For whatever its worth - if you buy a really good digital camera, the video quality it can record is just amazing. Myself (and Jonno coincidently) have a Canon SX200 IS, and it can record video in HD. Actually...that YouTube video I put up a couple weeks ago you can also watch in HD and see how good the quality is.Haha hadnt even thought of the honeymoon! But will definitely take it now

But yehhh...probs no replacement for a proper camcorder. I don't know an aweful lot about them, sorry.
Video of the wedding? Dude, Walts has video of at least the last 12-months of your life. You just didn't know it! So I think its safe to say there'll be video of your wedding too

Shiv: Thanks for the tip on Birkenhead Point, great shopping. Only cost us 12$ from star city in a diamond service taxi. Loving it. On the down side we had to buy another suitcase for Lish to get her shit home with us.
