For whatever its worth - if you buy a really good digital camera, the video quality it can record is just amazing. Myself (and Jonno coincidently) have a Canon SX200 IS, and it can record video in HD. Actually...that YouTube video I put up a couple weeks ago you can also watch in HD and see how good the quality is.

But yehhh...probs no replacement for a proper camcorder. I don't know an aweful lot about them, sorry.

Video of the wedding? Dude, Walts has video of at least the last 12-months of your life. You just didn't know it! So I think its safe to say there'll be video of your wedding too

Yea Ive got a Canon IXUS 70 and the video is pretty good on that. But we're after the real deal (she has her D80 DSLR too remember )
