How much revenue does NSW provide compared to other states? That's the real question.

So, $17B? Yes? Or is it more. That's $17B I think?

Because a thousand million is a billion. So. Yer. Seventeen billion.

What I'm getting at here is that they're asking for nearly double what they are making. Even WA hovers just above $20B/pa.

I don't really understand how the revenue works though, if that's the revenue from the state does that go to federal kitty?

Anyone know? It's not really my area of expertise. I probably knew the answer in year 9 or something though.

NSW still has a higher GSP than any other state per annum over all its just that when it comes to per capita we loose out, and we spend more than we make :P

Holy shit! that pic is tasty as

How can you not do things per capita? If one man makes $100 and three people make $100 who is doing better?

NSW has the largest economy in Australia, valued at $320 billion in 2005-06 or about 33% of Australia's GDP. This is one third larger than that of the next State and Sydney alone accounts for almost one quarter of Australia's GDP.

The NSW economy is larger than each of the national economies of South Africa, Thailand, Malaysia, Colombia, the Philippines and Ukraine. [1] despite them all having a substantially larger population than New South Wales.

BTW yeah it should be done per capita - as the Population of WA increases watch them GSP per capita crash.

How low is it?

Very.

I'll take a picture tonight of how it sits now, then another one after I raise it back to "legal" height next week.
Then another few after I get the new wheels and fiddle around with height, camber etc.

...that was weird. Actually calling someone on here Luke and it being their real name?!

You've got a 1st name as your surname - your the weird one fella!!

Only serial killers and outlaws have two first names.

I cannot even begin to tell you how illegal that labelling would be if it were produced in Australia. Very cool though, very cool. Picture of B.Cousins springs to mind.

Yeah man that was direct copy and paste LOL aint hiding nothing.

but the last part was my words.

WA bases pretty much its entire economy on digging shit out of the ground - the amount they dig is likely to stay stable over the years (confirmed by Kellz BF who works in the mines) so as the population of WA increases the GSP is likely to not increase at the same rate and will eventually bring it inline with the rest of Aus (long long term)... so until then enjoy having a population with an above average income or stop people moving there LOL.

Would that label be illegal because it encourages having fun?

The GSP is always impressive in WA, I think we've been #1 for a while. I think any figure you take it's easy to puff chests of each different state - this is probably why there are so many damn different ways of reporting revenue returns. I believe the biggest RGSI (Real Gross State Income) increase came in QLD last year? And Tasmania and SA were the only other two that grew in RGSI. So they've got something to drum about. Most of WA's economy is definitely in digging shit out of the ground, I would even think that we will find out just how mismanaged a lot of that has been over the years. But that's a whole other bunch of shit to dig up!

NSW was the only state last year to decline in expenditure (you cheap fucks) but what does it really mean.

My initial point was that NSW is asking for nearly $30B of fed funding, when they are clearing just over $17B. I'm sure this is the same for all states? Shit, there's no such thing as a 'small' road project in WA now is there!!
