TyGuy - Insurance?
Not worth it, new rim + 2x tyres comes in under $1k, rim could actually be ok might need a slight roll, tyre shop said its not buckled but looking at it closely it seems to have the outer lip maybe slightly flatter than it should be.
Excess is $900, then next year the premium would be more.. just not worth it unless some suspension is buggered.
Yeah, that sucks Ty!!
Get the council to pay for it. That would have made a huge noise.
F'Oath it did!
i didn't see it cause of a car in front, i saw it at the last second, swerved as hard as i could to wrong side of road but it still clipped the side as you see, rear just nicked it and thats why its egged

and as you can see the tyres have plenty left in them

It's not a council rd apparently its a Vic Roads rd, and from what i have heard the chances of compensation are a bit hit and miss from them, if it was Council i would have a better chance, i cant get through to them either cause of the floods out west they are too busy on the phones.
now i have to decide if i should go 4new tyres which would be RE001's or KU36's because they can be had for under $150 each, or just suck it up and go the T1R's at $225 and only get the 2.
but i dont like the idea of running uneven tyres, and then there is the thing of i wanted to move to 17's at the end of the year so why should i bother spending big on them again...
cant believe i just got a balance, rotate, alignment done last week too.. nice waste of $ there now.
