THE MAN who brutally raped a 21-year-old woman at Byron Bay in 1994 has threatened to return to the town, near where his victim still lives, on the eve of his release from prison.

And he is legally able to do so, despite having no ties to the area.

Craig Darryl Richardson completed his full 16-year sentence for rape and attempted murder last month but, unlike paroled prisoners, stands to be released without any supervision, monitoring or restriction.

Ironically, he was never paroled because of his violent, unrepentant nature and his resistance to prison rehabilitation programs.

That is odd! I havn't yet turned it on - I thought I might let it sit a bit since I had it on it's side from the shop to home..... how long do you need to leave them before you turn them on?

You want to leave it upright overnight, compressor oil is pretty thick. If you only leave it an hour you can overheat near the thermostat and won't be an issue straight away, but after a few months you'll be rooted. Try sending THAT back to manufacturer.
