There's a cut out in the engine cover for it.
Turns out the aftermarket ones the same total thickness as the stock one.

Which provider are you with?
This is my entire problem, everyone has a 'better deal' but if it isn't Telstra NextG - it doesn't matter to us, because it doesn't fucking work!

Not just for show. My old one had a cracked top tank and this one was cheaper than an original replacement.

Also, for those that recommended the apple phone variant, I believe it's number four now? I don't like them, but if it was honestly the best option I would get it. Problem is, the IP4 is the worst incarnation of the fruit phone yet for reception. A couple of my long term tradies changed over to fruit phone for the 'walkie talkie' functionality - that's pretty much what they have now, two shiny coffee shop walkie talkies, because you sure as fuck can't call them when they are driving down Caves Rd.
They have updated them and the signal issue has been resolved. I can only get reception in certain areas of my place and it works better than my Nokia did.
But in rural WA it'll be a whole new ball game

When they say NextG they are talking about the Telstra only 850 MHz 3g network which operated simultaneously on 850/2100 mhz and also uses HSDPA. 850 MHz is the same frequency as the CDMA network which provides greater distance coverage due to the lower frequency used.
The "3G" network is the 2100MHz "city only" 3G network which doesn't give the same coverage.

No your not. That's where I'm at though, I use my phone, as a phone. I am obviously a dying breed?
My phone is a phone.
About the only other thing I use it for is to take pictures when I don't have my camera handy.

Plans are for people that run business accounts on multiple mobiles and are stacking some serious minutes. I will be getting $24,000 worth of phone calls over the next 12 months for $2376 with an $800 phone thrown in and my phone credit redirected to MMS usage, in that I'll also be getting 3GB/m of data. Hardly the worlds greatest deal, but if you live in the country you MUST have NextG. If you can get a better deal on NextG then you can discredit my choices, but if you're going to quote what Vodafone or similar are offering, don't bother, they do not have reception here.
1c text gimmicks are to lure in 12 year old abortion failures to sell pink Samsung flip phones.
HTC Desire HD is what we're talking about boys.
I can also nominate a freecall landline on this deal, two freecall mobiles. Telstra is really going tits out these days, but to be completely honest, I've done the yards with this phone. I managed a $197.63 bill on a $60/m plan - but I got in on the ground floor of NextG when they said "we won't do caps on NextG - It's not like the other networks that are selling sand at the beach".
For a business, no arguement.
Individuals. Its expensive.

Shaztintzzz: I will look into that, cheers mate. I told the bloke that this time I want it in writing that if for WHATEVER personal reason I feel the phone I've chosen does not suit my needs I can switch to a different phone without surrendering my current phone, I am able to do so. Also said I want to be able to move freely between cap plans - Telstra must be getting SMASHED in the cities - so thanks to all of you people on these auxiliary providers squeezing the T into sweats. I love it. Finally they have to take shit from me, instead of vice versa. Seriously, on my way out I was going to tell him that my gutters are getting a bit full of debris and to seal the deal he can come over on Wednesday and hose them out.
Hi Alex!
