oh, ICHI only have a V4 cut currently... should i? there isn't any difference between V3 and V4 really..

V4 is great.

I thought the V3's where better for some reason. That's why most of the Gen 2 boys use them.

Something about a stronger block and a better turbo. Happy to be proved wrong though.

Yeah thats what i thought but i looked it up and everything seems to lead to things being the same?

Internals are same, Heads are same, the only thing i have found is maybe the cam's have a bit more lift in V3.. you know what.. i'll start a thread (only to be flamed and noobed) lol

V3 STi = VF22 turbo( Second largest subaru turbo made) , bigger cams, better flowing cooler.

V4 = I dunno.

Guys, v3 and v4 are same motor. Tune (ECU) different PLUS turbo is different.

Vf23 is on v3 STi (p20 housing), Vf24 is on v4 STi (P18 housing). 23 will be a little slower to respond, but still a great turbo. Vf24's are responsive and a great street turbo.

Vf22 was NOT on v3. Avoid a vf22 at all costs, they are not worth buying AT all - and have a serious reputation for blowing up.

I agree, this is outrageous! Those words even work on OzLib (although it might crash if you use it there...).

Was pleasantly surprised by the quote I got for my cars service at Subaru. Its $326 which I'm willing to pay

They are a bit thick though - "Is that the 2.5L H6?" And why did I need to give them my entire VIN number for a quote? Ugh.

They need the VIN to make sure they've ordered all the correct parts - relax !

The right parts being an oil filter and oil. Any retarded parts interpreter should be able to do that.



Oh wait, it's a Subaru dealership. They'll probably try and replace your timing chain with a belt...

No kidding? thats possibly the most ridiculous term I have ever heard used for a park brake.

BTW in Aus when refering to an E-brake it means Electronic Park Brake, some manufacturers use it... can't remember who

Not a fan of skids to be honest.. dont see the point of breaking a car for the sake of 20 secs of fame lol... much rather a car that goes hard and handles well.. oh and i like to be different!

my mate owns www.byeperformance.com.au (better to check em out on facebook) specialises in supercharging/turbocharging 6's and the odd 8... thinking i might give it to him as a bombed project... but see if i end up staying in WA or not first.
